Yarn Selection and Properties
Yarn forms the foundation of weaving production. Warp and weft yarns are selected according to fiber type, yarn count, twist, and strength values.
Warp yarns are generally preferred from more durable yarns due to the high tension on the loom. In yarn selection, fiber type, yarn count, twist, and strength values are of critical importance.
The selected yarns are wound onto the warp beam in a manner suitable for the weaving loom. At this stage:
- Yarn tension
- Number of ends
- Density values
are controlled to prepare a smooth and flawless warp.
